About the Zoo

The Greenville Zoo is located in Greenville, South Carolina. It is an AZA certified zoo. The AZA is the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which is an association of experts from around the country who evaluate all of the zoos and aquariums to make sure that they meet certain guidelines and expectations set for animal care and conservation. They particularly look at animal social groupings, living environments, health and nutrition. For more information about AZA accreditation, please check out the AZA website at https://www.aza.org/.

The Greenville Zoo is home to a variety of animals including mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, insect, and fish! The staff is dedicated to providing an enjoyable experience for people of all ages while maintaining the highest quality of animal care behind the scenes. I encourage all of you to visit the Greenville Zoo if you are ever in the area!

One really cool feature of the zoo is the giraffe cam. At all hours of the day you can watch the giraffe family, Autumn, Walter, and Kiko and see how they spend their days - both inside their barn and outside at their exhibit!
